The Challenge
As a brand-new resort tax district, the Hebgen Basin Resort Tax organization needed a website and visual identity immediately following voter approval. The Board was still drafting ordinances and establishing operations, but they needed a credible online presence to communicate progress and host public information during the early phases of formation.
The challenge was speed, flexibility, and clarity: creating a site that felt established and trustworthy while remaining nimble enough to evolve as the organization defined its structure, policies, and services.
Our Approach
SpinUp developed a streamlined, modular website framework built in WordPress and Divi, allowing quick updates as new content came online. The initial launch prioritized transparency—providing meeting schedules, public documents, and board information—while leaving room to expand into future functionality such as business registration and tax collection tools.
On the branding side, we wanted something simple and grounded in place. Using a scenic photo captured by a Board Member as our creative starting point, we drew inspiration from the surrounding peaks and lake views that define the Hebgen Basin. The resulting logo system blends clean geometric forms with an approachable, local tone—professional enough for a public agency, yet connected to the community it serves. A companion style guide defined the color palette, typography, and graphic treatments to ensure consistency across all communications.
Results
Within weeks of formation, the Hebgen Basin Resort Tax District had a functioning public website, a cohesive visual identity, and a communication foundation that positioned the Board as transparent and accessible. The flexible content architecture now allows the site to scale as new administrative processes and community programs come online—solidifying SpinUp’s role as a design partner in the District’s long-term development.
